Guest Artist Show at The Back Door Art Studio & Gallery

My first art show in my hometown of Talent, OR, "Art that explores Nature," is currently on exhibit at The Back Door Art Studio & Gallery. The exhibition includes selections of new work, past work, and a few travel journals to highlight the range of my artistic expression. As their first guest artist in the gallery, the Artist Reception evening on February 12, 2026, also introduced the new gallery space to the community. The Artist Reception was a huge success!

Donna Bertucci-Ruiz & Heather Ayers-Flood, the resident artist-owners of The Back Door, welcomed me as their first guest artist. The gallery is also a working studio for them, and they envision it as a welcoming space for both emerging and established artists in the local community.

Putting together a show involves much work, starting with selecting the pieces. Then there's labeling, hanging the show, and sending out announcements. Donna & Heather were incredibly helpful, and we were able to sort through all the aspects of the exhibition collaboratively and effortlessly. It's so much fun to exhibit my art in my hometown.

The next evening event night to see the show at this location will be Friday March 27th from 5 pm - 8 pm as part of Talent’s 4th Friday art walk evening. The exhibition runs from January 22, 2026, until April 12, 2026, at The Back Door Art Studio & Gallery in Talent, Oregon.
